Overview
BlackRock’s USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund (BUIDL), a tokenised money market vehicle that debuted in March 2024, represents the asset manager’s first fund to be issued on a public blockchain. Securitize handles the tokenisation and administration. The fund allocates to cash, US Treasury bills and repurchase agreements, and distributes daily accrued dividends to eligible token-holding investors. Bank of New York Mellon serves as custodian for cash and securities, while digital-asset custody is provided by Anchorage Digital, BitGo, Copper and Fireblocks, among others. BUIDL crossed the $1 billion asset threshold in 2025 and is live on Ethereum, Aptos, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Optimism and Polygon.
