Fidelity Investments launched the Fidelity Ethereum Fund (FETH), a US spot ether exchange-traded product, on 23 July 2024 as part of the initial wave of spot ETH ETFs authorised in the United States. The fund directly holds ether and aims to mirror the Fidelity Ethereum Reference Rate, net of fees. Custody of the ether is managed by Fidelity Digital Assets, a trust company chartered by the New York State Department of Financial Services. By net assets, FETH ranks among the larger US spot ether ETPs.
