Overview
Web3Auth, previously known as Torus, provides non-custodial authentication infrastructure for Web3 applications. The system employs threshold multi-party computation (MPC) to handle private keys. Users can access decentralised applications through conventional Web2 authentication methods, such as social logins or email one-time passwords. The platform replaces seed phrases with a distributed key recovery mechanism.
