Overview
The Atom Economic Zone (AEZ) refers to a framework in the Cosmos ecosystem that defines an economic area focused on the Cosmos Hub and its ATOM token. This zone includes the Hub along with additional zones that utilize ATOM as a reserve asset, for interchain security purposes, or as a foundation for decentralized finance activities. Through the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol, the AEZ enables economic coordination and value transfers among linked independent blockchains.
