Overview
Babylon Protocol is a Bitcoin staking system that allows holders of BTC to lock their tokens to help secure Proof-of-Stake (PoS) blockchains in exchange for returns. The protocol employs a trustless slashing mechanism that does not require bridging or wrapping, instead using cryptographic methods such as Extractable One-Time Signatures (EOTS). Its development team includes researchers from Stanford.
