Overview
GHO is a stablecoin native to the Aave Protocol, pegged to the US dollar and issued in a decentralized, over-collateralized manner. Users mint GHO by depositing approved collateral, such as aTokens, into the GHO smart contract, and may borrow it subject to an interest rate. Within decentralized finance, GHO serves purposes including lending, borrowing, and payments, with its circulating supply controlled by designated Facilitators.
