Aave Horizon is moving from its launch-era delegated model, in which Aave Labs handled asset listing decisions with LlamaRisk supporting risk parameters, oracles, and caps, to the DAO's standard governance process under Governance Framework v2. New assets must now follow the Asset Listing ARFC process—including a published business case, a LlamaRisk Risk Assessment, an Aave Labs Technical Assessment, and a binding Snapshot vote—after which Aave Labs implements the listing with LlamaRisk analysis. Effective today, the change gives Aave DAO direct authority over Horizon's collateral set as the market expands beyond tokenized Treasuries into new categories of real-world assets.
